Where it began
What once began with heated gloves has grown into a complete range of winter products today with one goal: ensuring you can comfortably enjoy everything winter has to offer.
As outdoor and winter enthusiasts, we loved spending long days outside ourselves. In doing so, we always ran into the same problem: cold hands. We looked for gloves that didn't just protect against the cold, but also actively kept our hands warm. When we couldn't find what we were looking for, we decided to develop it ourselves.
That is how our first heated gloves came to be, back then under the name Seazy. We quickly realized that it wasn't just about warm hands. To truly be comfortable outdoors, you need to be able to rely on what you are wearing.
That is why we continued to grow. Seazy became Polarex, and one product grew into a range developed to keep you warm, dry, and comfortable, wherever winter takes you.
So that the cold never has to be the reason to stay inside.
Smartly designed for winter
A good winter product doesn't start with as many features as possible, but with what you need outdoors. Warmth when it gets cold, protection against wind, rain and snow, and comfort you can rely on.
That is why we develop every Polarex product based on a clear problem. We only choose materials, features, and technology when they actually contribute to warmth, protection, or comfort.
Only then does the design follow. That is how we make products that not only look good, but above all do what they were developed for.
So you don't have to worry about the cold, and can fully enjoy everything winter has to offer.
Tested in extreme conditions
A product may look good on paper, but ultimately only one thing counts: how it performs when conditions turn truly wintry. That is why we test our products ourselves in snow, wind, and extreme cold.
Next, it is the turn of our Field Testers. They take our products outdoors and put them to the test in real winter conditions. We use their experiences and honest feedback to further improve our products.
Only when a product does what it was developed for and performs under extreme conditions do we consider it ready for Polarex.
This is how we develop Polarex not just for people who love winter, but together with them, like our regular Field Tester in Lapland, whom you can see in the photo here. So that you can rely on your gear, whatever winter brings.
